2009 Alberta Offset System Call for Draft Protocols
Submission on or before September 15, 2009

 

The deadline for submission of first-round technically-reviewed draft protocols for the Alberta Offset System is on or before September 15, 2009.

 

When submitting first-round technically-reviewed draft protocols, the Protocol Developer(s) must also submit all accompanying information such as:

  1. Review committee members;
  2. Review minutes and any revised version of the protocol(s), and clarity surrounding the how the consensus requirement of 'no sustained objection' was achieved; and
  3. The Technical Seed Documentation and Technical Protocol Plan (if not submitted previously)
 
 
Call for Draft Protocols
For submission on or before November 15, 2008

In order to submit draft protocols to the Alberta Government, protocols must be completed up to Step 7 of the Alberta Protocol Development Process - which requires Protocol Developers to complete the first round of Technical Review with incorporation of revisions stemming from the review (see protocol development process).

 

The deadline for submission of first-round technically-reviewed draft Protocols for the Alberta Offset System is on or before November 15, 2008. A number of stakeholders have signaled that they are prepared to submit draft protocols by this time.

 

Please note the addition of a new step in the protocol development process - Submission of a Technical Seed Document (Step 2) and Technical Protocol Plan (Step 3). Protocol Developers are required to fill out a Technical Protocol Plan before submission of a draft protocol. The Technical Protocol Plan form contained within a Guide to Protocol Developers is in the final stages of publication by Alberta Environment and should be posted soon on: http://environment.alberta.ca/1238.html and http://carbonoffsetsolutions.climatechangecentral.com.
