Alberta Offset System - 3rd Round Protocol Public Review
Additional Review Period for the Nitrous Oxide Emissions Reductions from Farm Operations Protocol
C3, on behalf of the Government of Alberta, is pleased to announce the beginning of an additional Public Review Period for the Nitrous Oxide Emissions Reductions from Farm Operations Protocol.
Following the initial 3rd round review period in early 2010, additional work was conducted on this protocol including several technical working group meetings to discuss submitted comments and questions, and follow-up meetings with Alberta Environment to discuss modifications made to the draft protocol.
Public comments are an important aspect of the protocol development process for the Alberta Offset System, and an opportunity for everyone to give feedback and help shape Alberta Quantification Protocols.
Written public comments are due by Monday, August 16, 2010, 5:00PM MST
The revised draft Quantification Protocol is available HERE in public comment form, while other versions are still available within the Alberta Protocol Review Process section.

3rd round public review period was held November 23, 2009 - January 29, 2010.
Public comments are an important aspect of the protocol development process for
the Alberta Offset System, and an opportunity for everyone to give feedback and
help shape the Alberta Offset System Quantification Protocols.
We encourage all
stakeholders to submit comments on protocols technical and/or application
aspects.
Each Protocol listed below has completed the 1st and 2nd Rounds of Technical
and Stakeholder review with no sustained objection. Protocol Developers have
taken all suggestions/comments from the 2nd Round review session and made any
necessary revisions; these are all listed within the 2nd Round
Technical Review section of this website.
