2010 Call for Alberta Offset System Quantification Protocols

The deadline for submission of first-round technically-reviewed Draft Quantification Protocols for the Alberta Offset System was on or before October 1, 2010. Protocols submitted completed a stakeholder review on November 4, 2010 and then went on to an internal government review. Once completed government review protocols would be posted for a public comment period on this website. Please see the Status of Draft Alberta Protocols section for further information.

2nd Quantification Protocol Review Session

C3 on behalf of Alberta Environment facilitated the Alberta Offset System Quantification Protocol Stakeholder Review. This session was held on November 4th, 2010 in Edmonton, Alberta. The protocol review was well attended by various stakeholders. Presentations for each draft protocol were given outlining development with technical considerations and how the protocols meet Alberta Offset System design and criteria.

The next step in the Alberta protocol development process is an Internal Government Review. Alberta Environment will initiate a formal government review of the protocol with appropriate government departments. Protocol Developers will be required to provide any further clarification or modifications on their protocol before moving to the final public posting review period.
