2011 - 7th Cycle Protocol Development – Supplemental Review
2011 Supplemental Call for Alberta Offset System Quantification Protocols
This supplemental review was held due to a vast interest in the development of new protocols that occurred during the Fall 2010 Call for Protocols. This session was only open to protocols that submitted information for that call.
There will be a FALL 2011 Call for Protocols. NOTE: Protocol concepts require approval from Alberta Environment. An Intent to Develop an Alberta Protocol form must be submitted by April 30th for eligibility in the fall protocol call. Please contact C3 (protocolcomments@c-3.ca), for the template and/or additional process information. Additional guidance on protocol development can also be found at: http://environment.gov.ab.ca/info/library/8331.pdf
Note: For parties that are unable to attend the stakeholder review session, this is not the final review step in the Alberta Protocol Development process. Stakeholders and participants will be able to provide further comments on these draft Alberta protocols through the 3rd Round of Review, a public posting of protocols on the Carbon Offset Solutions website, following an internal government review.
2nd Round Technical Review
C3 facilitated the Government of Alberta Offset System 2nd Round Stakeholder Review that occurred on February 23, 2011 in Edmonton, Alberta for the 7th Cycle of Protocol Development. The protocol review was attended by various stakeholders. Presentations for each draft protocol were given outlining development with technical considerations and Alberta Offset System criteria.
Below you will find a listing of all presentations given at the workshop, agenda, participant list, and record of discussion for the two-day review.
The next step in the Alberta protocol development process is an Internal Government Review. Alberta Environment will initiate a formal government review of the protocols with appropriate government departments. Protocol Developers will be required to provide any further clarification or modifications on their protocol before moving to the final public posting review period.
