(updated March 4, 2013)
Recently you may have noticed that C3 has updated the look and function of the Alberta Emissions Offset Registry! Some of these updates include a new look of the home page and the format of project listings and greater transparency to each project listed on the AEOR including new project statuses, project identifier numbers, and clearly identified offset credit status categories that include Revoked, Removed, and Pending Retirement. Please let us know if there are any questions in relation to any project listings and feel free to send us any comments or suggestions on the AEOR.
Alberta Emissions Offset Registry Important Information(updated Feb 1, 2013)
Registry Reminder – 2013 Compliance DeadlinesThe deadline for compliance with the Specified Gas Emitters Regulation is March 31, 2013. NOTE: March 31st falls on the Easter holiday weekend this year therefore the government compliance submission deadline will be the following Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013.
Projects may be registered and requests for serialization can be made at any time; however, project developers should be aware the registry has minimum time requirements for processing project registration and serialization, transfers of ownership and requests for retirement. While the registry does its best to process all requests before the March 31 deadline, AESRD and the Registry cannot guarantee processing and/or availability of offset credits for requests submitted after March 1st of the compliance year. ALL requests are processed in the order COMPLETE submissions are received.
THE AEOR CANNOT GUARANTEE REGISTRY REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER MARCH 1ST WILL BE PROCESSED PRIOR TO THE MARCH 31ST DEADLINE. Partial or incomplete submission of reporting or forms will delay registry processing. Additional time will be required if inconsistencies or deficiencies are identified during the completeness assessment conducted on the documentation. The Registry is not responsible for inconsistent or incomplete submissions not being processed by the March 31st compliance deadline. (AEOR forms are available within project listings AND in the Help/FAQ section of the AEOR portal.)
To avoid delays, the AEOR highly recommends parties always reference current Guidance released by Alberta Environment and follow all requirements. ** NOTICE OF ACCOUNT INSTRUCTIONS (AEOR SCHEDULE D FORM - TRANSFER/RETIREMENT) MAY ALSO BE SUBMITTED TO: AEOR@C-3.ca TO BE PLACED IN QUEUE FOR PROCESSING **
